Surreywood 5k, Kids Fun Run & Swim

Join us Saturday, June 2, 2012 for our annual 5k and kids fun run. Registration starts at 8:00am. The kids fun run starts at 8:30am and the 5k starts at 9:00am. The pool will open at 9:30am. The cost of the event is $10/adult and $5 for children 5+. Kids 4 and under are FREE. If you would like to stay and swim after the race the entrance fee into the pool is $5/person for all non-Surreywood Swim Club members. CLICK HERE to download the registration form.

Fall CHRYSANTHEMUMS Fundraiser

Celebrate fall with a variety of beautiful 8 “ potted chrysanthemums that have an 18 to 24 inch dome- available in burgundy/ red, bronze/ orange and bright sunshine yellow, as well as other more rare colors such as purple, peach, white etc. These are offered to you for $7 per plant.

You will receive a coupon that you will take to Jubilant Gardens on Saturday, October 8th to pick up you plants. Please do consider buying your fall plants via our local source, benefitting not only Surreywood Swim Club but also a local entrepreneur who is trying to make a difference.

Surreywood Swim Club Pool Reopens TODAY at 4:15 pm

Great News! The power is back on and the pool is opening today at 4:15pm this afternoon. Please note that the snack bar will not be open until 4pm on Saturday. So please plan accordingly. The gate guard will be selling drinks.

Gold Buyback Event on Labor Day!!!

Collect all your old gold and sterling silver jewelry, put it in a baggie with your name and phone # on it and bring it to the pool on Monday September 5th. If you aren’t sure if it’s the real thing bring it anyway and it can be tested right there. You keep all the money your jewelry is worth and the pool gets its 15% from The Gold Refinery. The more you’re paid; the more The Gold Refinery donates to the pool!

Water Aerobics Classes

Want to get fit this summer? We are offering water aerobic classes every Wednesday night from 6-7pm.

All ages and levels welcome. Classes start June 8.

This class is FREE to all pool members and $5 per class for non-members. For more info call the pool at 276-7579 or emailrecreation@surreywood.org.

School’s Out Party

ATTENTION KIDS… We are having a school’s out party on

Thursday, June 16th, 3-5 pm

Join us for a fun time with music and games. Lunch is available for $5, which includes 2 slices of pizza, drink and a brownie sundae. Pre-order your lunch with the gate guard. Only those with their name on the lunch list prior to the party will get this special offer.

This party is free for members and kids do not have to participate in the lunch option. Come celebrate the end of the school year with us!!!

Gold & Sterling Silver Jewelry Buy Back Event
On Memorial Day, Monday, May 30 from 11-3 at the pool!

Go through you jewelry boxes, drawers, purses… and collect all your old, outdated, broken gold and sterling silver jewelry. Put it in a baggie with your name and phone # on it and bring it to the pool on May 30^th. If you aren’t sure if it’s the real thing bring it anyway and it can be tested right there. The Gold Refinery will be paying you for your old mismatched and worn-out gold and sterling jewelry. Then, from the total bought that day, The Gold Refinery will donate 15% to the pool. You keep all the money your jewelry is worth and the pool gets its 15% from The Gold Refinery – that day! So the more you’re paid the more The Gold Refinery donates to the pool! Many have been surprised by how their gold and sterling adds up!

If you can’t be at the pool that day but want to support the fund raiser you can drop off your baggie and I’ll get your money to you that evening. If you have any questions call Allison Starr at 399-3173.
