President’s Message

It is hard to believe that our Pool is less than a month away from opening for the summer.  Many people have been busy working on the facility and behind the scenes to make this year a huge success.  Have you purchased your 2016 Membership?

Thank you to all who donated or purchased items at the Yard/Bake Sale that was held on April 16th.  It was another great success.

A work day is scheduled for Saturday, May 7th from 9 am – 12 noon; I hope to see many of you at the pool as we make a final push to prepare the pool for opening on May 27th.  Lunch will be provided to the workers on Saturday.

I would like to take a few moments again to discuss the topic of the Friends of the Pool donations and donations to cover the Emergency Pool Repair Fund. Both ways greatly assist in keeping our facility a viable place for all to enjoy.  As for the Emergency Pool Repair Fund we have been able to raise over thirty-seven percent of the funds needed to cover the cost of the $21,000 repairs that were made at the end of the 2015 season for leaks that were discovered.  If you desire to make a contribution of any amount you may bring it by my home at 2317 Lancashire Drive, or enclose it with you membership and make a notation as to where you would like the money to go: Friends of the Pool or the Emergency Pool Repair Fund.

Many activities are in the works for this summer, please make sure that we have a good email address for you so that you will receive timely communications from the Swim Club. You can subscribe on our website .  Our first major event will be our Memorial Day activities of a parade, games, catching up with fellow pool members, and of course, great food available from the snack bar  Hope to see everyone there!

Big thanks to the Board Members who continue to make my job a very enjoyable experience.

Remember I do not have all the answers, I encourage your input, and suggestions that will help to make our club a success, so please do not hesitate to call me at 276-3968.
